yep, after swearing blind I would not be buying anything else..... (!)
after secy was unfortunately unable to go ahead with the 32 frame from stoke (I'll find him something else, don't you worry!) I've now done the deal with mick, and am about to become a pre '49 nsra type!
looks like I'll be looking for a little road trip to stoke with one of the clubs fleet of transits soon (either doug or dave - or maybe just tie it to the roof rack on the hunter!)
immediate plans will be shelve the ruby, definately not buy anything else! flog the fiesta for as close to 1k as I can manage, and sink the cash into building the 32 up on a budget!
might not even go with a 32 body, maybe a 30/31 model A as they will be pretty close to the frame dimensions!
probably going to be whatever comes along cheapest, but an ideal 'budget' build would include, small block chevy, only as the mounts are in, and I know they work, manual box (no autos for me!), jag plain steels as on doug's sled (ritch??), although maybe some blasted slot mags for the back, maybe full fendered, grey primed, no screen (too expensive!), and a slipper for the jag back end
hard as nails as I can manage on a budget!!
probably gonna end up with a rover though!!

ps - hmmmm, wat's this on ebay, 32 roadster body moulds, start bid of 1 pound....

mick was saying that, but I can't see how it'll tow ok, as surely the straps will go around the beam?
- nope, just thought about that, and it'll be fine, as the beam is fixed, just like the 2 track control arms are on a mac strut car - we'll let ritch get some new straps first though, apparently one has got hole in it - yikes!
- kev
- it's all your fault doug!!

just something you said about your dislexia (sp?) and something about reading, so I said you'd be better off starting at the back of a book and working your way forwards!

forgot to ask, are the steels on the sled plain - ie no holes / slots in them? - or are they like those chrome jag ones in the tyre shed??
and if they are plain, are they jag ones??
got to ring ritch tomorrow anyway!

Oh yes, I reminder ti naw
The rims on the sled are Jag but they are the slotted type like the chrome ones, I've just painted them. Take a look at the pics I put on here this week.
