Hi All,
I have to start on this soon. 
Any ideas?
Thought of a few things already.
1 It's not going to be matt black Doug. 
2 It's not going to have slot mags Kev. 
3 No I'm not going to put the engine & gearbox in something decent. 
Anyway have some fun with your suggestions.
4 It's not the escort either!

Cut the roof of, remove all the trim, sell them to Kev, lower it or put air bags on it,
make the front look good, change the back end, remove all the doors and the interior, sell them to Kev, paint it pink
with brown flames.
Then when it's finnished and looking 20 times better than it does now, SELL IT TO KEV!!!!!

I don't know about the classic bit of motoring history, but he certainly
deserves your Rover! After all, he's only got 5 cars at the lock-up,
I'm sure if we take Richie's 56 Chevy out, he could get another "2 pieces of classic
British tin" in there, take them apart with a view to improving them and then leave
them scattered around the floor for several months till I see me a**e and phone
Franko to come and collect them and weigh them in.
Anyway what do you think of my suggestions for the Rover eh?

Yeah I used to like that look. Unfortunately, besides the body kits being like hens teeth now (& this is where I expose myself to some abuse) I like the clean lines & the is it standard or not from a distance look. But saying that, if I was loaded I wouldn't mind the rat look with a Chevy LS7, T6060 tranny & a vortek supercharger With a 200 shot of nos. Upgrade all the suspension, brakes & stiffen the shell. Bet I could have hours of fun.

I've been thinking. By perverse do you mean:-
(A) The Rat Version.
(B) The clean lines & looks standard from a distance.
(C) SD1s in particular.
(D)All of the above.

An old boy once gave me a tip about weather proofing matt black paint, apparently you rub teak oil or some such into it & it prevents rust from starting.
I wonder if Doug knows this?
