My mate Andy Neal bought the car in NY State where it was fitted with a Hemi/ Lenco setup. Before completion, Andy took the lot out to stick in another car and the car was sold and shipped over here by a boke named Hugh. He kept it for a while but changed his plans and sold it to me in April '04.
I started looking around for a motor and got a very sweet 360ci with flowed ally heads etc. It's good for over 450hp.
I got in touch with Andy to get some more info on the car and he sold me a freshly rebuilt auto with a reverse pattern manual shifter.
Since then i've stripped the trim & interior and cleaned up what little rust there is and bothered Andy for a helluva lot more help with choosing & sourcing parts in the States.
As we speak a ship in the Atlantic has most of my savings aboard, converted into shiny things
This link should work so you can see the piccies...

It looks even better than I rememberd it Paul!
You will have to email me the pics again and a little write-up for the site. We are after some fresh stuff to take the place of some cars that are no longer with us.

I'll add more pics to the MMA link as i get chance but i'll certainly try and put a load on a disc or summat for the site.
Kev- good to know there's spares knocking around! Fingers crossed i won't need 'em eh!
Colour... original plan was black but i've settled on keeping it original now- it's a sort of slightly metallic paleish burgundy? Sort of?
The bench seats front & back (along with the rest of the interior) match the paint nicely, the cage will be satin black.
The wheels are Cragar SS- fairly narrow fronts and HUGE rears to fill those tubs! The rear tyres are 29" tall, 18" wide!
The bumpers, grilles & all exterior trims came carefully boxed up, a lot of it new repro stuff- really nice!
Thanks for the interest guys, i'm getting all excited again now just talking about it!!

I've spotted the 'add pics' thing now... here goes!
The fronts are your usual chromed steel rim, ally centre but the rears are polished forged ally 14" x 15"s, made by Weld under licence to Cragar. Complete with Mickey T 18"x 29" Sportsmans wrapped aound them .
O'course there ain't much room left between those rims so i've had a shortened ford 9" made with bracketry for the 4-link/ coilover set-up, all from S&W racing.

IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!
All my loot has FINALLY arrived from the States.
Wowee there's some pretty cool stuff in my garage now- those wheels are STUNNING in real-life!
I'll bring one along on Wed to show off, i'll only be calling in briefly tho as i have a work do the same night.
Got a bit of a Meccano kit too! A lovely custom-made narrowed Ford axle with coilovers, 4-link, transverse link and anti-roll bar. All in kit form
I won't be attempting to install it til at least Spring but i may need to ask for help
Happy to offer my help in return o' course.

Any advice? I have a used ring & pinion and forged yoke which in theory should fit together.
They look right, both 28 splines etc but the yoke will only go on 1/4" by hand or 1/2" if i 'help' with a big hammer. Definitely NOT the 2" it should!
First thought was that the splines were distorted somehow but they seem straight? I've noticed now the spline tips on the pinion are worn down towards the thread end.
I'm thinking now that they're different shaped spline teeth and they're only starting to fit cos of the wear!
Is this likely/ possible/ fixable?

What about heating it up Paul ? Is it all steel if so wack a bit of heat into it with a gas lamp & it may expand enough to slip on.Just a thought.

I know what you mean mate but it should just slide on.
Main problem with persuading it to fit is shimming the pinion bearings- damn thing could be off and on a dozen times before getting it set right!

erm, could that not potentially wreck some expensive kit???
(I wouldn't mind if it some old snotter of mine!)
I think maybe research is the key - is there not some ford 9" forum you could ask for tech advice on??
or maybe the nsra site???

I've scoured the net for info- the free info i've found is at best sketchy, at worst conflicting
It seems info on the 9" is valuable- there's a DVD for $30-odd
Mine is such an odd problem i'll have to find an expert really. I've been pointed towards Randys ring & pinion so i'll try ringing them when i get chance
