I didn't feel very sociable tonight guys, sorry!
A hectic day and i'm knackered.
Was there a meet? did i miss much? Is next months in the 55 or the Beachcomber?
In my defence i've done loads of work on the Truk and the Belvedere

Hi DB, sorry you weren't feeling at your best mate. You didn't miss much, the next meet will be at the Beachcomber.
I was hoping to catch you at the meet because I was wondering if you could help me out with something.
I have a very old American payphone which has been converted to a modern British system.
The phone has worked very well for the last 15 years or so but has decided to retire - prematurely in my opinion!
I know your job isn't on the customer end of things, but do you think you could help or do you know someone who could take a look at the phone for me, if they're not otherwise engaged! Hee hee, sorry!!!
I've had a look at it myself, jiggled a few wires, but to no avail, it doesn't look very complicated, but even so I'm just about capable of wiring a plug. Let me know if you can help, cheers mate.

I'm a bit rusty on phones nowadays but i'll certainly have a go mate!
Drop it round here if you like, if it won't wait til the next meet. I'll be in most of Sunday workin on the Truk
