Looking at some old pics over the weekend,found these pics of a 39 ford which belonged to a lad i know from wrexham, who used to work in JCB, STEVE PROCTOR. slit form is wife and not seen him in about 10yrs.The car was bought from simon lane,came with a 302. A new tube frame was planed and a 454 bb chevy,twin predators on a tunnel ram ex-sptic willy.The halibrand mags to i think came off septic willy?

I remember he had a 32 roadster or was it a model A roadster with a 32 grill?,flathead and supercharged.In the back of street machine about 86-88?40 coupe?will have to think abuot that.Have you had the p.up yet?

astro chimp is counting the days till the pick up of er, the pick up
T minus 9 days and counting!
simon lane's roadster was a 28/29 A on deuce rails, as you says steve, with a blown flattie - 13 sec 1/4's on crossply's too!!
the 40 coupe was blue, and was featured around the time of the roadster - think that was in CC not str**t m*ch*n* though!

Got a phone number today for a mick morris who was mates with steve proctor,he mite know what happened to the 39?mick dragraced a pop in the late 90s and ran down in 9s.found simom lanes car street machine jan 89.

Got hold of MIKE on friday to ask about the 39,its live and well in mikes hands. Steve was building it to race but mikes putting on the street and has had a chassis and cage made,and the 454bb and ifs.he also got a 57 chev but no details on that.Moggy back on the road this week(not by wednesday?)so hope to go see him soon and get soom pics?By the way he,s spent aload of money on it and sill a long way to go?

He lives near wrexham.He invited me to a BBQ yesterday afternoon but i had a comp meeting with the bikes so miss it,and i have told him about the club so we will have to see? i"ll get more detail next time i take to him.
